Hi! Iām Estefania, originally from Ecuador, although I spent most of my life living in Spain surrounded by different cultures, accents and ways of speaking Spanish.
I have been teaching Spanish for over four years and I love creating a relaxed and supportive environment where students can enjoy learning, build confidence and feel comfortable speaking Spanish.
I recently completed my degree in Education, where my dissertation focused on how mature adult learners experience second language learning, including the challenges and barriers they often face. Studying this topic helped me better understand the experience of learning a language as an adult.
I enjoy seeing students grow in confidence week by week, not only learning the language but also becoming part of a friendly and supportive community along the way.
I hope to see you soon ā
Hi! My name is Karolayn. I was born in Ecuador and spent more than 20 years living in Spain, where Spanish became a very important part of my life. I currently live in Newcastle and enjoy sharing my love for reading and the Spanish language with others.
I have always loved books and exploring different genres, from poetry and theatre to suspense and crime fiction. One of my favourite things about reading is how stories can help us connect with language in a more natural and enjoyable way.
I am very excited to be part of the Reading Club & Cafecito, helping students practise pronunciation, improve comprehension and feel more confident reading and discussing Spanish together in a relaxed and friendly environment.
I look forward to meeting you soon
